All on X Dental Implants
All-on-X dental implants are the result of another wonderful advancement in dental technology. The restoration solution combines a traditional denture tray with the stability and security of dental implants. This procedure uses four to six unique dental implants to both stabilize and support your restoration. These dental implants will provide the necessary support you need for an entire arch, whether it be an upper or lower. The All-on-X dental implants treatment offers you a viable alternative if you have dentures but would prefer a securely placed restoration that does not demand the constant upkeep of taking your dentures in and out every day.
The entire team at Dr. Crystal Dental radiates compassion and enthusiasm. Every member embraces your individual comfort and dental needs. We seek balance in our practice, our procedures, and your health. You will find your entire dental experience with us comforting from start to finish. We balance exceptional, personalized dental care with state-of-the-art equipment and technology. Call us today at 440-974-4449 to schedule your appointment for an evaluation regarding the benefits for you with All on 4 dental implants. You can conveniently find us at 7223 Center Street, Mentor, Ohio, 44060.
If you have been denied a dental implant in the past because of the lack of jawbone density you may now be able restore your smile with the All-on-X technique. The treatment opens doors for patients who have jawbone atrophy, hopeless teeth due to rampant cavities or periodontal disease, current denture wearers and patients who are tired of their failing crown or bridgework. All-on-X dental implants can restore your complete, healthy, and confident smile.

The Benefits of
All-on-X Dental Implants
Dr. Crystal Dental works as part of a team with highly skilled surgeons and lab technicians to perform this procedure on patients who were previously restricted to dentures and did not have the option of dental implants. With the recent advancements those patients can now:
- Have the ability to eat any kind of favorite foods with confidence.
- To experience a long-term life expectancy with successful results.
- To restore a younger appearance without facial sagging from missing teeth.
- Experience an increase in self-confidence and self-esteem.
- An overall improved quality of life.
- Have an affordable solution to missing teeth.
- Once again enjoy a healthy and attractive smile.
- Experience the ease of dental implants despite previous bone loss.
- Reduce the risk of future bone atrophy.
- Walk out with a prototype immediately fixed in place.
- No longer struggle with the continued frustration of dentures.
- Enjoy implant placement completed in one visit reducing total treatment time.
- Never wear dentures again.
- Experience a reduction in recovery time.
- Appreciate a reduction in implant cost over single tooth or bridge implant options.
- Enjoy easy maintenance
While All-on-X offers these amazing benefits, the treatment comes with a drawback. Instead of each tooth having its own root, the four to six implants must replace all these fourteen individual root systems.
The All-on-X
Dental Implant Procedure
Your first step in the procedure will be a consultation with Dr. Crystal Dental as well as the surgical team who will carefully work with you and Dr. Crystal Dental to plan your individual case. During this consultation, we will examine your mouth and take x-rays and a CT scan. This scan allows us to assess your compatibility for implants. We will check your existing jawbone density to determine precisely where the implants should be inserted. If you are a suitable candidate and we decide to proceed, the next step will be to make dental scans or impressions. These are sent to a dental lab where your new restoration is designed and created to fit and look just like natural teeth.
Prior to the innovation of All-on-X dental implants, if you were interested in a dental implant, you underwent almost a year of treatment. Now, with the All-on-X dental implant procedure, the entire process, from extraction to implant placement to fixed teeth, can be achieved in just one visit with Dr. Crystal Dental and the team of highly skilled surgeons and lab technicians. Final restoration of your beautiful smile happens after full healing is completed.
In the past, if you wished to replace a denture with a full arch, six to ten or more dental implants were necessary to properly support the teeth and provide adequate strength. Now, using this new technology, the laws of physics and stronger materials to our advantage, when the two back implants are placed at angles, their strength is increased, and therefore fewer implants are necessary. The two or more anterior, or front, implants stand upright, and the two posteriors, or back, implants are placed at 45-degree angles if necessary. The special placement of these implants allows the All-on-X to be placed in your mouth that previously would have required a bone graft due to jawbone atrophy.
The denser jawbone that remains in the front of your jaw offers ideal placement for the implants and the new approach of placing the other two implants at an angle also helps avoid your sinus cavities and the nerve canal. Dr. Crystal Dental will begin with the administration of a local anesthetic to numb the area being treated. We will surgically position four tiny titanium posts into your jawbone. The simplicity of this procedure helps reduce any discomfort to you. A prototype restoration is placed on the four implant posts with snaps, allowing you to use them like normal teeth while your permanent restoration is created at the dental lab. When completed, you now have a new restoration that you do not need to remove, like dentures. I do not do this procedure in my office – I refer to my oral surgeon for this procedure who completes this under general anesthesia or other sedation option. Does this need to be reworded to discuss that or omitted? The process we do is I have the prosthetic made for them ahead of time, it is secured the day of surgery (unless the jaw bones are really soft), and I follow up 1 week later for a bite adjustment. Afterwards, we wait approx. 4months after placement to begin the process of making the final prosthetic at my office. Also it is a “fork soft” diet while in the healing prosthetic. I do think it needs to be clear that the initial piece that’s placed at time of surgery is for healing, and the final piece is made from a stronger, reinforced, and more esthetic dental materials for long term results (or something like that).
Comprehensive Dentistry
Comprehensive dentistry with Dr. Crystal Schneider, involves the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the teeth, gums and jaw. She believes that preventive care is the most important aspect of comprehensive dentistry. Dr. Schneider aims to identify and treat problems while they’re still small, which can save you time, money and more extensive dental treatment.
Cosmetic Dentistry
An attractive smile can boost your confidence, help you make better first impressions on others, and improve your personal and professional life. We provide several cosmetic dental treatments that can subtly enhance your smile, and there are many other more dramatic treatments, often called “smile makeovers,” that can give you the smile of your dreams.
Specialized Dentistry
Missing teeth can take the joy out of the everyday things we love, from smiling and talking with confidence to eating our favorite foods. All of these things can become easier again with specialized dental care. Dr. Schneider offers advanced treatments that will not just restore your smile to its former health – they’ll make it look and feel even better than before!
All on Four Dental Implant Aftercare
In most cases, research has shown that placing the implants immediately after tooth extraction can improve the outcomes of the procedure. Dr. Crystal Dental has seen patients resume a normal diet in just six weeks after the implants are placed. The more closely you follow the after-care instructions from us, the better the results you will experience.
During the days and weeks following your more invasive appointments, eating softer foods will keep you comfortable. Once the healing process takes hold, you can gradually include harder foods. Once we have completed your All-on-4 procedure, and you are fully healed, you need to continue to maintain good oral hygiene habits to keep your restoration healthy and your overall health strong.
